Our maintenance staff inspects and maintains buses at the maintenance shop at our office.
This is a job that makes the bus "safe and secure" so that customers can use the bus with peace of mind.
It is a job where you can feel that you are contributing to society when you see a bus that you have maintained in operation.
Additionally, although inspections are not required by law, we voluntarily conduct monthly inspections from the perspective of ensuring customer safety. At this point, we will check for any abnormalities by visual inspection or by checking the hammering sound.
We also carry out 3-month inspections and 12-month inspections (vehicle inspections), which are legal inspections.
In addition to these, we also carry out clutch and engine overhauls based on maintenance plans.
Our senior employees provide careful one-on-one guidance, allowing you to gain experience and aim to obtain maintenance qualifications.
The company pays the full cost of training for qualifications related to automobile maintenance.
We will do our best to support you if you want to acquire skills as a mechanic, which is in high demand.
Our company has various types of buses, including regular route buses, airport limousine buses, small buses, hydrogen buses, electric buses, etc. Also, the location where the buses are maintained differs depending on the characteristics of the area in charge of the sales office.
Therefore, through regular job rotation, you will gain experience at various maintenance shops and aim to become a professional bus mechanic.
The maintenance shop is headed by the factory manager, with a maintenance section chief and a maintenance section.
One factory manager is appointed as the maintenance manager at each factory, and one to three maintenance section managers are appointed at each factory.
First of all, you will work on-site to understand the structure of buses, work hard to improve your inspection and maintenance techniques, and aim to become a professional in bus vehicles. We aim to become a staff member, maintenance manager, or even factory manager.
Furthermore, there is a possibility that you will work at the head office due to personnel changes, and you can also be involved in work building vehicles and managing office facilities and bus stops.
Although they rarely have direct contact with customers, the job of a mechanic is to ensure safe and comfortable operation every day through daily inspection work. While regular cars are often handled by one person, buses are handled in teams of three to four people. It is a favorable environment where mechanics can cooperate and learn from each other. Although the workplace sometimes involves getting covered in oil, work clothes can be washed in the washing machine, and after finishing work, mechanics' routine before going home is to freshen up in a large bathtub. The Omori Sales Office was completely renovated in 2019, and the Kurihama Sales Office was completely renovated in 2021, integrating the factory and sales office. Now I can easily communicate with desk workers and drivers.
We will continue to listen to our employees' opinions and strive to create a better working environment.
