When we announced the design decision on August 7th on our website, we also posted image data of what the actual wrapping would look like.
As explained on page "2. Design Selection", the original manuscript submitted was handwritten.
This will then be converted into data by the design company.
The process for creating image data is roughly as follows:
1. First, we create illustrations of each part (airplane, Anamori Inari Shrine, Kuroyu, airport, etc.).
② We will adjust the lines and colors of the parts to match Keimaru-kun's illustration.
③Once the parts are complete, arrange the illustration parts according to the layout of the manuscript.
④We will adjust the appearance of the illustration to fit the body of the bus, such as the tires and the parts covering the windows.
⑤Once the placement of the parts has been decided, we will make final adjustments to the overall balance, such as whether it matches Keimaru-kun's brand image.
The design of the bath is different from the original plan, and is a rock bath.
We decided to change it to a rock bath because it is less monotonous and gives more depth than the cypress bath.
In addition, the design this time is not continuous from the left side (Kuroyu Onsen design) to the back (sky design),
We have adjusted the design so that it ends at the seams of the car body.
Thus, the first draft, or first draft, was completed.
When we receive the first draft data from the design company, we compare it with the original manuscript and actual vehicle photos together with the sales representative of the other party,
We will ask you to make corrections again if necessary.
This is called calibration.
For the first proofreading (return of the first draft), we requested the following changes:
・The shrine is modeled after Anamori Inari, so the torii gate at the door is a Senbon Torii.
・Change the sky blue from two shades of stripes to one solid color.
・Keimaru-kun's mouth and gestures have been changed to the pattern specified in the recruitment requirements.
- The coloring of the airplane illustrations has been changed to a color scheme that does not blend too much into the sky blue.
And here is the data (for two schools) reflecting the first return to school.
We will check again before finalizing the design (final proof).
The applicant, Kuwahara, also looked at the data.
At the time of the first draft, the boundary between the left side (Kuroyu Onsen design) and the back side (sky design) was
It was originally the joint of the car body (the vertical line extending from the right edge of the side window frame),
The impression that the picture of the hot spring suddenly ended, and Kuwahara-san said, "When I drew the original picture, the hot spring pattern extended all the way to the corners of the car body."
They had been thinking about this, so we asked them to adjust it again so that the boundary was as close to the corner of the car body as possible.
The design represents the car as seen straight on from the left, right, and rear, but the actual body of the car is rounded.
I'm looking forward to seeing how the corners turn out on the actual car.
And here is the revised data (3 schools).
We will check to see that all changes have been reflected, including those made at the time of the first draft return.
This third draft was the final proof, and the final design was presented to everyone on August 7th.
Now that the design has been finalized, we will submit the outdoor advertisement to the local government.
Permission is granted after an inspection to see if the standards for outdoor advertisements are met, such as the number of colors, saturation, etc., and whether the advertisement blends in with the streetscape.
In parallel with the procedure, we will ask you to do a test print on the wrapping sheet material that will actually be attached to the vehicle body,
We will check the color development of the material and interference with the gloss level.
This is called a color proof.
Once there are no problems with the printout and permission for outdoor advertising has been granted, we move on to the process of printing the sheets at full size.
