Hikawa Maru was a passenger ship on the North Pacific route until 1960. This cargo-passenger ship was nicknamed the ``Queen of the North Pacific'' due to its elegant appearance and excellent service. It is also famous for having many famous people on board, including British comedy king Charlie Chaplin and the Takarazuka Revue Company, which performed in North America. It served as a hospital ship and a salvage ship during World War II, and is the oldest existing passenger ship in Japan.
